Removing a garage from the bottom left

Project B Task 4: remove the existing garage from the bottom left of the plan, keeping the rest of the layout unchanged as far as possible. A simple modification, so the focus is minimal intervention and a clean resolved plan.

Copy the entire plan and place it beside the original, so the original stays available as a reference while the work happens on the copy.

Revit warns on the copy because dimensions and other elements are attached to the initial plan. Since this is a working copy, those can be ignored.

First disconnect the garage from the rest of the house. A door currently connects the laundry room to the garage, so remove that first — it makes sure no unnecessary connection is left between the former garage area and the house once the garage is gone.

With the garage disconnected, delete the elements that belong specifically to it — the room tags, doors and windows.

With the garage gone, the bedroom exterior wall and the office exterior wall project beyond the remaining boundary, so both need aligning back to it.

Drag the first wall up to bring it in line with the bedroom bathroom. For the second, use the AL command: select the boundary wall as the reference, then align the projecting wall to it.

That gives a clean, continuous exterior edge without changing the surrounding spaces. The garage is completely removed and the rooms around it are intact.
